Former Tecmo Koei exec moves to Reef
UK publisher Reef Entertainment has hired Will Curley as its new general manager.
He will now oversee all sales, marketing and product acquisition, as well as assisting with PR and communications.
Curley previously spent five years working at Tecmo Koei Europe. He has also worked at NCsoft and THE.
I am very happy to join the team and will help to drive the business forward,” said Curley.

MICROSOFT – Sega’s Payne joins Xbox team
Ben Payne has joined Microsoft as Xbox third-party marketing manager for EMEA.
Payne moves to the Xbox firm after four and a half years at Sega, where he most recently worked as marketing manager. Prior to this, he worked at Take-Two and Future Publishing.
Payne replaces Lisa Humphries who moved to Microsoft’s first-party EMEA?marketing team. He will handle EMEA?marketing with partners including Ubisoft, THQ and Disney.

INTENT MEDIA – French heads up PCR
Helen French takes the reins of leading PC and IT trade publication PCR as its new editor.
The move comes as outgoing editor Andrew Wooden leaves Intent Media after six years to join Future’s tech title T3 and T3.com as news editor.
We’re delighted to announce Helen as the new editor of PCR,” said managing editor Lisa Carter.
Helen joined the PCR team as associate editor a year ago, having worked across many other titles at Intent Media previously, and has since proved her passion for and knowledge of the PC and IT sector.”
TENSHI – Holmwood joins consultancy
Harry Holmwood has taken on the role of consultant at London firm Tenshi Consulting.
The company was setup last month by Kuji founders Ian Baverstock and Jonathan Newth, and ex-Zoe Mode CEO Ed Daly.
Holmwood is also director of his own consultancy business Heldhand, which works with clients such as peripherals company PDP. Holmwood previously worked at PDP as VP of software and licensing.
He said: By bringing together a diverse but highly experienced network of consultants, Tenshi can offer both strategy and solutions for publishers, developers and others in the industry, as well as insight and analysis to those investors, media groups and others on the outside looking in.
I’m honoured to have been asked to join such a group, and look forward to working with the team in 2012.”
GAMESAID – New chairman named
Intent Media MD Stuart Dinsey has been named as the new chairman for industry charity GamesAid. He takes over this month from previous chairman, Bethesda’s Sarah Seaby.
Having been in the games business for over 25 years, I know exactly how a lot of people feel about charity,” said Dinsey.
In reality, they want to support it, it is a good thing, but fundraising has to be done the right way. Objectives must be clearly set out and there must be complete transparency and inclusiveness at all times.
GamesAid fits the criteria above, which is why I am happy to be chairman, but I will be firmly in the background.
The GamesAid stars are its ambassadors and members – people within the business trying to make a difference in whatever way they can. The trustees are just here to encourage, help or control where required. All fundraising ideas and suggestions are welcome.”
NGMOCO – Battlefield devs join Swedish studio
Three developers have left Battlefield 3 studio EA DICE for new positions at Ngmoco Sweden.
Wille Wintertidh, Malte Hildigsson and Trbjorn Ldre have all joined the social and mobile games studio. Hildingsson and Ldre were both on the Battlefield 3 development team.
The recruitments were announced by Ngmoco Sweden manager Ben Cousins, who left DICE parent Electronic Arts back in March last year.
