The successful applicant will be based in London and will join the firm’s international games management team, handling a variety of duties from budgeting and forecasting to identifying market trends.

SONY: Aikins joins platform holder from THQ
PlayStation’s UK team has added John Aikins to its ranks. He has taken up the role of product manager for Sony’s kids and family titles following the recent departure of Marlene Fitzsimmons.

Aikins joins from THQ, where he worked for almost four and a half years. His most recent role at the Saints Row-publisher was associate product marketing manger.

We’re pleased to have John on board and excited to see the great campaigns he’ll bring to our kids and family portfolio,” said senior product manager Ian Vinten.

GAME: Retailer names Charlotte Knight as trading director
The retail group has promoted Charlotte Knight into the role of trading director.

She has worked at GAME for 12 years, most recently as head of category management for the retailer. She joined in 1999 as a buying assistant and has worked her way through the ranks of the commercial team.

I’m delighted to appoint Charlotte as our trading director, her knowledge and experience within the gaming industry is second to none and she has proved herself as the ideal candidate for the role as we head into the crucial peak trading period,” GAME Group UK MD Tom Devine told MCV.

CODEMASTERS: Heavyweights Campbell and Rissik join Britsoft publisher
Respected industry veterans Roy Campbell and Jon Rissik have joined Codemasters. Campbell has taken the role of senior VP of publishing, while Rissik becomes VP of brand and marketing. Both will work on a worldwide basis.

TRION: Luehmann joins as publishing VP
David Luehmann has joined the MMO specialist as vice president of Trion’s third party publishing program.

Luehmann has previously worked as general manager for Microsoft Game Studios, where he directed multiple game studios including Ensemble, FASA and Simulations. He will report to senior vice president of development Nicholas Beliaeff.
