13 countries enter Computec contest

Studios for 13 countries around the world have already entered Computec’s Make The Game competition.

The contest opened back in January and has seen entries from firms in the UK, US, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Canada, Italy, Lithuania, Norway, India, Argentina, Costa Rica and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Participants have to create a new browser and social game, with a prize of up to one million Euros promised to the best titles, as well as publishing contracts and a large advertising budget.

Computec has also announced that Trinigy will also reward up to five of the winners with free game engine licences, valued at over 300,000 Euros.

The global response from game developers and the industry’s interest in our browser and social games competition is absolutely exceptional,” said Computec publishing director Hans Ippisch. Make The Game has become an international success in the games industry in its very first year.”
