How many game sales are physical? Find out in this week’s issue of MCV

This week MCV has investigated what proportion of game sales are physical, and how many are digital.

By combining physical data from UKIE/GfK Chart-Track and digital information from SuperData, we can see what the divide is between the two formats.

We also speak to Ubisoft Quebec about the publisher’s upcoming Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, and Codemasters talks to us about the transition to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for F1 2015.

Meanwhile we catch up with some of the biggest names in QA and localisation to see what challenges are facing the sector at the moment, and whether publishers have stepped up their act following the slew of buggy games released last Q4.

And following the blockbuster launch of The Witcher 3 we catch up with developer CD Projekt RED about the huge success of the latest entry in the action RPG series.

Also, industry charity GamesAid explains why you should sign up.
