Studio signs co-branding agreement with Walking Dead firm, reveals plans for documentary series, merchandise and more

Night School partners with Skybound for Oxenfree film

Indie dev Night School Studio has teamed up with entertainment company Skybound Entertainment to expand the scope of its Oxenfree brand.

Skybound is best known as the firm behind comic series The Walking Dead. Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman is CEO and co-founder of the company.

As part of the co-branding franchise agreement, Skybound will work with Night School to produce ‘multifaceted’ content related to upcoming PC and Xbox One title Oxenfree.

Among the examples listed are a film, online documentary series and merchandise.

The web series will be called The Story of Oxenfree, with the first episode (below) already available to watch.

“As soon as we got our hands on Oxenfree and experienced this unique narrative driven game we knew that the IP had huge potential and that the Skybound team needed to be a part of it,” said Kirkman.

“Creating multiplatform entertainment in the thriller genre is in our wheelhouse, and it’s great to partner with the passionate developers at Night School to delve deeper into the Oxenfree realm.”
