One Piece: Burning Blood deposes Yo-Kai Watch from No.1 spot in Japan

Bandai Namco’s latest release based on the popular One Piece manga has taken both first and second place in Japan, according to data from Famitsu.

The new release claimed the top spot with its PS4 SKU, which shifted 31,162 units. The Vita edition charted in second place with 28,831 copies sold.

Meanwhile, D3’s Vita title Bullet Girls 2 debuts in third place, selling 21,706 units.

Yo-Kai Watch Sangokushi – which has held No.1 for the past three weeks – falls to fourth place with sales dipping 47 per cent week-on-week.

Star Fox Zero made its debut in the region last week, too. The Double Pack edition – which launched with the game and Star Fox Guard – charted in fifth place selling 17,063 copies. Meanwhile, the vanilla Star Fox Zero SKU debuted in tenth place.

This release helps Wii U hardware sales rise 27 per cent week-on-week from 5,634 to 7,195 units. PlayStation 4 was still the best-selling hardware for the week.
