Revenues for YouTube personality increase sharply

PewDiePie made £4.8m in 2014, report claims

YouTube sensation Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg made £4.75m ($7.45m) in profit during 2014, according to a report.

As spotted by NeoGaf, Swedish paper Expressen reports that accounts for Pewdie Productions, submitted to the Companies Registration Office, reveal revenues amounted to (£4.8m) $7.49m. Profit before tax was £4.75m ($7.45m).

Last year it was reported by The Wall Street Journal that PewDiePie was making some $4m a year from his YouTube videos, coming mostly from ad sales on his channel and website.

The YouTube personality currently has 37.6 million subscribers to his channel. He has also written a new book called This Book Loves You, due for release in October.
