The Hut Group is on the search for a brand agency as it looks to launch an awareness campaign designed to highlight its recent resurrection of Zavvi.
The move comes after The Hut bought the rights to the Zavvi name and its online retail restructure.
Marketing Week says The Hut is looking to compete with the likes of HMV, Play and Amazon for the 600m retail spend gap left in the market following the collapse of Woolworths. The Hut Group’s chief exec Matthew Moulding said a new agency is sought to grow Zavvi’s customer base, with the possibility of a Christmas TV campaign touted.
The private company hopes to increase its turnover from 25m to 75m by the end of the year.
