Trade group UKIE will help cover expenses for students travelling to one of three open days to be held at Blitz Games Studios.
Leamington Spa based Blitz will open its doors to about 90 students across three dates in March, providing attendees with insight into how it creates its products.
The studio, which has strong links with trade association Tiga, said it was “delighted that UKIE have stepped in this time to enable us to ensure everyone who deserves a place is able to take it up”.
UKIE said it has an on-going commitment to improving games education standards in the UK. The trade group recently helped spread the message of the Next Gen Skills Review – co-written by Alex Hope, Ian Livingstone and NESTA.
“We are long-standing admirers of Blitz’s policy of supporting games education and aspiring developers, and it’s a pleasure to be able to add our support in this way,” said new UKIE CEO, Jo Twist.
