Video games to save MySpace

News Corp is to strengthen the video gaming offering on MySpace, in a hope to close the gap on Facebook, which currently courts more users.

As reported by Reuters, speaking at the Fortune Brainstorm: TECH conference in Pasadena, California, News Corp digital head Jonathan Miller has been discussing the importance of expanding the gaming offering on MySpace.

"MySpace is and will be more in the future a gaming platform, a space for people to meet and play games," promised Miller, who also said he saw opportunities to make MySpace’s gaming platform more attractive to developers looking to launch their products on the social network and take advantage of its huge pool of user-data.
