Welcome to the new MCV website

Welcome to the new MCV website. The new website launched today and brings the brand right up-to-date. It’s fully responsive, so you’ll be able to read the latest games industry news on the move as easily as at your desktop.

The site is the final piece in a year-long strategy to update the brand. The fortnightly magazine redesign has been well received, our daily newsletter went responsive earlier in the year, plus we have a revamped lineup of events, starting with The Future Games Summit in just a couple of weeks. We’re also working up plans for a refined and more transparent MCV Awards for early next year.

Back to the site, we’ve streamlined the navigation and stripped back the text on the home and category pages to make them easier to scan for stories that are important to your business.

We’ve also made the switch to 16:9 images, as that’s the aspect ratio of pretty much everything in our beloved industry, and means we can show more games and marketing assets as they were intended. Please keep that in mind if you’re sending us content.

Beyond all that, you’ll find the usual mix of news, interviews, analysis, events and jobs centred on the UK games industry, but also covering events worldwide that will impact upon the UK industry and UK consumers. We support every part of our diverse industry and we’re always happy to hear from everyone and anyone.

We hope you find the new site easier to navigate and that it suits your needs as a UK gaming professional. Please get in touch and let me know what you think.
