Microsoft details its Xbox E3 activity

It’s official, E3 is upon us once again. Microsoft is the latest publisher to announce its activity during the industry’s biggest show and, while it still feels like a long way away, these two months are likely to disappear before we know it. And then it’s time to start planning for the next E3.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves, with confirmation of the Xbox press conference timings and info on the company’s surrounding activities, we have a clearer idea of what to expect. The big green X will be showing off “everything from in-depth looks at previously-announced games to trailers for unannounced titles coming in 2018 and beyond”. Emphasis will probably be on the latter since, well… Can you hang an entire show around Crackdown 3?

The Xbox E3 2018 Briefing (bit corporate, so we’re calling it the Xbox E3 2018 Live Show eXtravaganza) will take place at 1pm PDT (9pm UK time) on Sunday, June 10 and can be viewed on the company’s nothing-if-not-persistent platform Mixer. Non-English speaking fans (Hello! Why are you reading this?) can watch the show in six languages: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish (LATAM), Portuguese (LATAM). There’s also an English closed caption version.

Microsoft’s new show, Inside Xbox, will also be supporting the Briefing (sorry, Live Show eXtravagaza) with “exclusive announcements, game demos, interviews, giveaways and more”. It’s visible on Mixer throughout E3, from Tuesday June 12th through to Thursday, June 14th. Full details are available on Major Nelson’s website though, confusingly, they’re written by Will Tuttle, Xbox Wire editor In chief. This is just the world we live in, I suppose.
