All upcoming games based on the Tom Clancy line of war titles will feature Kinect support, Ubisoft has confirmed.
Co-founder and CEO Yves Guillemot made the claim during Microsoft’s 2011 E3 presentation, where Ubisoft demoed Kinect functionality for its upcoming shooter Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.
The publisher showed how the game would use motion controls. Players can build or take a gun apart in the options screen by waving their arms or issuing voice commands.
When playing in-game, users can aim at their TV screen as they would a gun, and lift up the palm of their hand to fire.
Guillemot said: At Ubisoft we’ve been big believers in Kinect since day one. We’ve released many successful titles in the dance, fitness and sports categories but one thing we haven’t shown is how were going to use Kinect to enhance core gaming via body tracking and voice.”
What we’re doing with Ghost Recon is something a gamer cannot do with a normal controller.”
The game will arrive on Xbox 360 and PS3. It does not yet have a release date.
