MICROSOFT: Nike to release Kinect fitness game

Nike’s Stefan Olander has taken to Microsoft’s E3 stage to announce a brand new fitness title, Nike + Kinect Training.

He claims that the software mirrors the professional training programmes it offers the world’s top athletes.

Amongst the features is an unparalleled level of personal fitness tracking, with detailed feedback about users’ performance and improvements.

Online integration will feature, allowing gamers from across the world to compare and compete.

Nike + Kinect Training will certainly have to fight hard to penetrate what is a packed sector, with the likes of Zumba Fitness, EA Sports Active and Your Shape already enjoying success on the High Street.

But with Microsoft’s backing, we can expect good things.
