Mindscape dates its Q4 music game trio

Mindscape will launch three new music titles in just three weeks this Christmas.

Kids’ karaoke game My First Songs launches on Friday, October 29th, and is aimed at children between three and six. Family karaoke sequel U-Sing 2 arrives on Friday, November 19th. Both titles are scheduled for Wii.

In between these releases the publisher’s new IP Dance Paradise will arrive on Xbox 360 Kinect on Friday, November 12th. It will go head-to-head with other motion-sensing Kinect dance games including Microsoft’s Dance Central and Konami’s Dance Evolution.

We, and a number of other publishers, feel that the arrival of Kinect gives us the perfect opportunity to present titles such as Dance Paradise,” Mindscape’s UK general manager Mark Stanger told MCV.

The game not only offers dancing, but interaction between characters and a really enjoyable gaming experience.”

Mindscape also says it has carried out in-depth market research for My First Songs.

Targeting our audience has involved the entire publishing process, track listing, graphics, packaging and our presentation at retail,” adds Stanger.

We hope that with My First Songs, U-Sing 2 and Dance Paradise we can close the year on a positive note.”
