Microsoft has announced that Minecraft will for the first time be made available in physical form thanks to a boxed release on Xbox 360.

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition will also ship with a free 48-hour Xbox Live Gold subscription allowing buyers to get the very latest Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition content from the ever-changing pixelated world, as well as experience the many other things Live has to offer such as taking favourite games online with friends or watching the latest TV and movies”.

The game will hit UK retail on June 28th.
