Players aged above 25 generate 79 per cent of freemium game revenue, according to new research.
Mobile analytics company Flurry found that, while under-24s make up 54 per cent of the time spent in these games, they only bring in 21 per cent of overall in-app purchase revenue.
The 25-34 age group, which made up 29 per cent of the play-time, brought in 49 per cent of overall revenues.
The data also claimed that customers aged 35-54 brought in 28 per cent of freemium money.
The analytics company says that this is because younger players have more time and a lower amount of disposable income, whilst older players are in the ‘reverse situation’.
Flurry took the data from its pool of 20million users across all of the freemium games it is involved in.
