Apple to price iPhone games at a premium

Apple plans to charge a premium for iPhone and iPod Touch games, according to a studio working on one of the first titles for the touch-screen-based handsets our sister site CasualGaming.biz reports.

Games for Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch will reportedly cost around €17-18 (or $25), according to European team LemonQuest.

Its first game for the mobile devices at the Apple Worldwide Developer Conference next week.

On average, mobile games usually cost under $10. Currently, games for the wheel-based iPods cost $8.

Speaking to PocketGamer, LemonQuest’s CEO Ignacio Cavero said Apple’s "games will be sold in iTunes for €17-18".
