By the power of Grayskull! He-Man has the power on iOS

Chillingo has teamed up with Mattel and developer Glitchsoft to give He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe, the long-overdue iOS treatment.

What, you’re under 30? Well, He-Man is the star of 1980s TV classic He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, as well as the equally popular action figure toy line.

IGN reports that the game, as the cartoon, is set in the fictional land of Eternia, boasting 27 levels in total. As you might expect for a sword and shield heavy cartoon, the game adopts a familiar hack ‘n’ slash formula.

Familiar villains such as Skeletor and Beast Man are confirmed. MCV has its fingers crossed for an appearance from Moss Man. And the one whose toy had a smelly head if you squeezed. Oh, and Ram Man. And we want Man-At-Arms to be referred to as Duncan.

He-Man’s iOS debut is due out some time in the coming weeks.
