Developers are still moving away from Android devices in favor of Apple’s iOS despite an increase in Android sales, a report has found.
The report, published by Appcelerator and conducted by research firm IDC, shows developer interest in Android phones dropping by another 4.7 per cent this quarter, and Android tablets falling by 2.2 percent.
These results are close to or within the margin of error, but the report claims they are consistent with those from the past four quarters.
Apple reigns at the top of the pack, with 89 and 88 percent of developers expressing interest in development for the iPhone and iPad respectively.
