Games trading app Jiggster launches on Android

An app designed to allow folk to swap their physical games has gone live on the Google Play Marketplace.

It allows users to list the games they are looking to swap and what titles they are after. They can then either locate other users who live near by for face-to-face swaps or exchange through the post.

An IM system allows deals to be brokered.

A Jiggster beta launched earlier this year and has to date been downloaded nearly 4,000 times and apparently has 2,900 active users who have between them suggested around 1,300 deals.

As a fanatical gamer, I got frustrated at seeing the value of my games being destroyed by the existing trade-in options,” Jiggster CEO Neil Ghosh said. We developed Jiggster as a simple solution to enable gamers to get access to new games from like-minded peers, and make their own, fair, trading deals.

To share our growth and take Jiggster to the next level, I hope to find both passionate gaming evangelists and equally passionate investors, and we believe Crowdcube is the best platform for them to take part in our venture and help make the service even better.”
