Big Ideas Digital has raised over £21,000 for a five year-old girl suffering from cerebral palsy to enable her to walk for the first time, the publisher has announced.
Grace Windram needs £50,000 to travel to the US and undergo a vital operation that will allow her to walk for the first time.
Through its iPhone app Say What You See, Big Ideas released a special update called Grace’s Toons, a canvas dedicated to raising money for the young girl.
Big Ideas said contributions came from users and corporations, and that Grace’s parents Helen and Gavin were thrilled with the news.
“Helen and Gavin will continue to raise funds, to help pay for the years of aftercare, treatment and physiotherapy,” the studio said on its blog.
“But for now, know that you’ve made a fantastic difference to a little girl’s life.”
Over £22,000 has been raised so far by Grace’s parents, with help from the Tree of Hope Children’s Charity, and donations can be made at the JustGiving website here.
