NCSoft launches new mobile division Iron Tiger Studios

MMO publisher NCSoft has formed a new development team within its Californian studio, a separate division that will be known as Iron Tiger Studios.

Based in San Mateo, California and housed within NCSoft West, Iron Tiger will comprise of three development teams and a self-contained mobile publishing group. It will work on original mobile games, as well as titles based on the publisher’s most popular brands, such as Guild Wars.

NCSoft is now hiring for devs wishing to work at Iron Tiger, with plans to grow the studio with more than 100 new recruits by the end of next year.

This continues the expansion plans for NCSoft’s western operations, which were detailed earlier this year.

“NCSoft West is accelerating and the launch of Iron Tiger is a key step in enabling us to develop extraordinary and innovative games more rapidly and across more platforms”, said Jesse Taylor, SVP of mobile at NCSoft West. ]

“We are looking for the best and brightest minds in all of gaming to become part of the Iron Tiger and NCSoft West teams”.
