No iOS 9 compatibility planned for Monster Hunter Freedom Unite

Owners of Capcom’s Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on iOS are not able to play the game if they have updated to the latest version of Apple’s OS.

The game, a port of the PSP title of the same name, is not compatible with iOS 9. And it looks as if that’s not going to change.

This application is not compatible with iOS 9 (including the Beta),” the App Store entry reads. There are currently no plans to update this application in the future. Please keep this in mind when updating your OS.”

The news is a particular blow for owners owing to the app’s comparatively steep 10.99 asking price. It also only came out a little over a year ago in July 2014.

The same disclaimer has also appeared on the App Store page for Japan-only release Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G.
