Modern Warfare 3 date leaked?

Activision will release Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on November 8th worldwide.

That’s according to Eurogamer, which claims to have have word from a leaked Tesco database. The date is certainly in line with previous Call of Duty releases.

Although the game is understood to be Modern Warfare 3, on the retailer’s database it is referred to as Call of Duty: Project Colossus.

There are lots of questions about this year’s Call of Duty game, not least of which is what developer will be behind it?

Activision’s established model would point to an Infinity Ward developed title this year, but after the substantial turbulence at the studio it could be that Sledgehammer’s still-mysterious COD project could be the front-runner for a 2011 release.
