Namco Bandai localizes iDOLM@STER games for iOS, charging $55 for each

Namco Bandai has localized and ported the three versions of its iDOLM@STER: Shiny Festa title, bringing the Japan exclusive PSP franchise to iOS for the seemingly absurd price of $54.99 each.

The different versions – Honey Sound, Funky Note, and Groovy Tune – come with their own song lists, episodes, and characters; and all three versions cost around $60 for the UMD version.

Showing little regard for the current state of the mobile market, the publisher deemed those prices were right in line with the English-localized iOS versions. A DLC store for future song releases was added into the smartphone version as well.

The price tags engulf the $15 iOS version of Soul Calibur, Namco Bandai’s previously most expensive mobile offering.
