Naughty Dog director requests Half-Life license from Valve

Naughty Dog creative director Neil Druckmann has expressed his interest in developing a new game based on the Half-Life franchise.

Druckmann – who wrote The Last of Us and is currently working on Uncharted 4 – recently took toTwitterto publicly declare Naughty Dog’s interest in Valve’s IP.

Look, Valve, all I’m saying is you give us the Half Life license and we’ll take care of the rest,” Druckmann said.

The statement was made in a post retweeting actress Merle Dandridge – known for portraying Alyx Vance in Half-Life, as well as Marlene in The Last of Us.

Fans have been clamoring for what seems like an eternity for Half-Life 3, or new series content of any sort, to see the light of day. Half-Life 2 in particular has gained much renown for its impeccable design. It’s no surprise industry talent like Druckmann are among those hoping for the continuation of the series in some official form.
