Nintendo has confirmed the rumoured Yoshi’s New Island 3DS XL is heading to North America this month, but we can’t help noting one glaring omission from the package.
The new 3DS XL will arrive adorned in the dinosaur’s iconic green and white colors, with Yoshi and one of its polka dotted eggs on the front and the rest of the shelled offspring lined up on the back.
As for the game itself, that will have to be purchased separately.
That’s right, for whatever reason, Nintendo has decided to launch the hardware on its own without Yoshi’s New Island, or any other game for that matter. The odd bundle” is made even more confusing by the fact that it’ll launch alongside Yoshi’s New Island itself on March 14th.
It’ll launch for $199, $20 less than originally reported – but that was also under the assumption that the $40 title would actually be included with the hardware.
