Nintendo teases Super Smash Bros on Switch for 2018

The first full-length Nintendo Direct of 2018 didn’t disappoint, as the platform finally confirmed what everyone had been waiting for: Super Smash Bros on Switch.

The beloved franchise will land on the Switch this year, with characters from Splatoon being introduced in the series for the first time (you can see the announcement trailer below). Talking about Splatoon, there’s also DLC for Splatoon 2 coming this summer. Named Octo, it will set consumers back $19.99.

As leaked earlier this year, the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane trilogy is coming to Switch, with Crash Bandicoot, Cortex Strikes Back, and Warped to land on the platform on July 10th.

Also announced on the Switch in Okami HD, which released on PS4, Xbox One and PC in December 2017, Undertale (with the release date to be confirmed), South Park: The Fractured But Whole on April 24th and indie hit Little Nightmares: Complete Edition on May 18th. Mario Tennis Aces and Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition, which were both unveiled during a Nintendo Direct Mini earlier this year, now have release dates as well, with Mario Tennis Aces launching on June 22nd and Hyrule Warriors on May 18th.

As far as the 3DS is concerned, Nintendo announced WarioWare Gold for August 3rd, a remake of Luigi’s Mansion for later this year, a remake of Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story (which will include a new chapter called Bowser Jr.’s Journey) for 2019.

Meanwhile, Wii U title Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will release on both the Switch and the 3DS on July 13th. The Switch version will support co-op and include a brand new level set in New Donk City.

There’s also a Solaire amiibo coming to celebrate the release of Dark Souls Remastered on Switch on May 25th:
