Xbox One has been cut in price to 399.99 in the UK, and will come with a copy of Titanfall.
The price cut follows a tricky start for Microsoft’s new console. The machine has sold ok since launch, but has been eclipsed by its rival – PlayStation 4.
The new Xbox One comes with Titanfall packaging, an Xbox One console, Kinect sensor, Xbox One wireless controller, headset, Xbox Live Gold and a copy of Titanfall. The bundle is available to pre-order now for release on March 14th.
The price cut takes effect from February 28th.
It also comes alongside a series of service updates to the Xbox One, as Microsoft looks to improve its online service ahead of the launch of Titanfall.
It’s not the first time Microsoft has cut the price of its machine in an effort to boost sales, the firm cut the price of the first Xbox by 100 shortly after its launch. Nintendo also reduced the cost of 3DS just a few months after the machine launched due to flagging sales.
Unlike those two instances, there will not be any compensation offered to customers who already ordered the Xbox One before Christmas. Although the price drop here is not as severe as in those previous examples.

"To help our fans do just that, Xbox One will be available at the new UK estimated retail price (ERP) of 399.99 from February 28th. And while supplies last, fans will also get Titanfall – the most anticipated game of the year – included in the box.”
