Castle Crashers Remastered launching on Xbox One this summer, PC to follow

Indie studio The Behemoth has announced its XBLA hit Castle Crashers will receive a remastered release for Xbox One and PC.

According to a post on Behemoth’s blog, Castle Crashers Remastered will launch as a timed-exclusive for Xbox One this summer and arrive on PC via Steam sometime after that.

Castle Crashers Remastered will feature new mini-game Back Off Barbarian, along with an increase in texture sizes, an uncapped framerate of 60fps, and various improvements to gameplay as well as online multiplayer.

No word on a PS4 release – though if the original Castle Crashers release history is anything to go by, the game should eventually make it onto Sony’s latest console.
