Cousins leaves Scattered to become F2P consultant

Ben Cousins has left Scattered Entertainment to pursue a job as a free-to-play games consultant.

The former EA Easy general manager joined the Swedish outfit in 2011 as GM. Cousins also held the role of head of European Game Studios for the developer’s owner DeNA.Scattered co-founder Senta Jakobsen will now lead the studio moving forward.

Cousins earlier this month launched a spirited attack of what he argues is the wrongly maligned free-to-play sector, arguing that far from acting in the interests of consumers, F2P critics are instead merely acting to defend their own positions in the increasingly threatened traditional games space.
