GCHQ director launches Picross-style brain teaser

The director of the GCHQ, Robert Hannigan, has launched a Picross-style puzzle.

In a post on the GCHQ’s website, the organisation says that completing this first puzzle will lead successful participants onto a series of increasingly difficult puzzle.

MCV hasn’t the mental capacity to finish said puzzle, but the team at Eurogamer has completed the brain-teaser which seems reveals a QR code.

That leads through to a website which currently does not load anything. Presumable, further puzzles can be accessed here.

Once all stages of the puzzle are completed, participants can submit their answer to a GCHQ email address by January 31st, 2016.

In addition, GCHQ has asked that players who have enjoyed the puzzle make a donation to the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.
