It’s pretty safe to say Gearbox took on one mother of a polished turd with Duke Nukem Forever, but what if the studio had a fresh crack at the IP?
Gearbox president Randy Pitchford may be pushing in that direction, openly expressing to IGN his interest in taking the franchise to another level.
I think what I would do and what Gearbox would do would be a little different. I think it would be amazing, and I look forward to that,” Pitchford said during an interview on IGN’s Up at Noon program.
Pitchford, in a previous life, worked on the Atomic edition of Duke Nukem 3D for Apogee Software/3D Realms Entertainment before leaving the company in 1997.
