Rise of the Triad revival revealed

A Rise of the Triad reboot is in the works for PC, Apogee Software and Interceptor Entertainment have announced.

A gameplay video shown at QuakeCon earlier today took the lid off the title, with a playable build of the title available at the event for attendees to check out.

Like the original, the revival will boast five characters with unique attributes to choose from. A 20-stage single player campaign and multiplayer was also confirmed.

"We were seeking a strong, independent, hard-working development partner to herald the eagerly-anticipated return of ‘Rise of the Triad’,” said Apogee CCO Terry Nagy. "We have indeed found that partner in Interceptor Entertainment."

Rise of the Triad is set for release on Steam later this year.
