RuneScape heads East

RuneScape studio Jagex has signed an agreement with TripleACodes to distribute the game in Eastern Europe.

TripleACodes will offer digital subscription codes in areas of low credit card penetration such as Poland.

This means Eastern European players will now have the option to sign up to the MMO’s paid-for service using local payment methods.

RuneScape is amongst the top online games in the world,” said TripleACodes sales director Marcus Whitney.

With over six million users a month it is one of the largest MMOs. We are very excited to offer it through our network.

We are aiming to strengthen RuneScape’s user base in Eastern Europe. It’s a PC dominated market and everyone’s getting online, so we expect to see a lot of growth.”

Online game portals and sales firms can contact TripleACodes to access the digital codes.
