VIDEO: Trine 3 hits Steam this week as Early Access release

Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power will arrive later today on Steam Early Access for Windows PC, developer Frozenbyte has announced.

The studio’s first move towards 3D-gameplay in the Trine series” will cost $19.99/€19.99/14.99 during the Early Access period. The pre-release version will include a pair of maps, with Frozenbyte aiming for 6-7 hours of content, properly working online-co-op, level editor and special challenge levels for the full launch.

The team plans for the game’s Early Access state to last a few months, with the Steam page noting that official release is tentatively planned for during/after summer 2015.”

As of last October, the series has sold more than 7m copies between Trine and Trine 2.
