Assassin’s Creed 3, the biggest launch in Ubisoft’s history, received a fitting welcome in India, with stores in Mumbai, Delhi, Pune and Bangalore hosting midnight launches.

In Delhi, both Landmark and F.o.G held midnight launches, while fans in Pune headed to Intencity to pick up the game at midnight, ensuring a complete sell-out on day one itself. Ladmark also kept its doors open at midnight in Bangalore.

In Mumbai, fans lined up outside Games The Shop’s Oberoi Mall store, and their wait was rewarded with Assassin’s Creed 3 t-shirts, keychains, foam tomahawks and other merchandise. A short distance away, Origin Games at Inorbit Mall also stayed open at midnight.

I am overwhelmed by the response of the dedicated fans. This shows how popular the Assassin’s Creed franchise is in India,” said Anand Khemani, CEO of E-xpress Interactive, which is Ubisoft’s distributor in India.
