Pokemon Go Plus delayed by two months

Nintendo’s Pokemon Go Plus accessory won’t meet its July launch date, the company has confirmed.

The device was initially due out in July, but will now not arrive until September.

The Pokemon Go Plus is a wearable Bluetooth widget that is designed to keep users in touch with their game when they’re not staring at the screen. It uses an LED and vibration to alert users to various events such as nearby Pokemon or the nearing of a Pokestop.

The delay seems like a missed opportunity for Nintendo, which is responsible for the device, to capitalise on the summer holidays. It will be hoping that come September the appetite for the game remains as fierce as it is now.
