Pokémon Animation Studio coming to London in 2015

A new attraction in London will allow children to create their own animated Pokmon movies.

The Pokmon Animation Studio will be part of KidZania, a 75,000-sq-ft ‘child-sized city’ opening in Westfield on June 25th.

The Studio is currently slated for opening later in 2015.

Located on the first floor of KidZania, the Studio will serve an educational purpose, teaching visitors about the basics of stop-motion animation.

They’ll also have the chance to make their own stop-motion flicks, utilising Pokmon toys from manufacturer Tomy and a number of other props to put together their Pikachu-starring answer to Wallace and Gromit.

Some of the toys on offer will additionally be available through the Kidzania Redemption Store, where children will be able to purchase them with credit earned by participating in activities – such as the Studio.

KidZania estimates that more than a million children aged between four and 14 will visit the educational space during its first year.
