PS Vita gets a price drop in Japan

The PlayStation Vita has received a price drop in Japan, paving the way for a similar move in the West at the upcoming PlayStation Meeting.

In Japan, the handheld has dropped in price from 24,980 Yen (Wi-fi mofel) to 19,980 Yen for the Wi-fi and the Wi-fi/3G model.

While Sony hasn’t yet announced a price drop for the device in the West, such price drops usually take place worldwide, so it may just be a matter of when rather than if.

Sony is scheduled to reveal the PlayStation 4 in New York on 20thFebruary, and it could well use that platform to also announce the long awaited price drop for the Vita.
