PSP Phone back on the cards

Rumours of a possible PlayStation branded Sony Ericsson mobile phone

first emerged in June

, and have since been

denied

and then once again

rumoured

– but now Sony has given its strongest indication yet the device could yet become a reality.

Speaking to The Economic Times SCE co-chief operating officer Jim Ryan said: Convergence with the two arms working together is definitely plausible. It is hugely intellectually seductive to have a console oriented phone.

While the Cybershot and Walkman are better selling brands from the Sony fold, Sony Ericsson and PlayStation would make a strong success story for Sony.”
