1TB PS4 arriving next month as Sony unveils console redesign

There’s a new PS4 on the way, although the changes are all to be found below the hood.

Sony has confirmed that a new design will start rolling out in Europe, America and Asia toward the end of this month. The redesigned console is 10 per cent lighter than the current model and uses eight per cent less power.

The HDD bay cover has also been given a new matte finish.

Accompanying the tweaks will be a new 1TB SKU, which will be available in PAL regions from July 15th. Microsoft announced a 1TB Xbox One SKU earlier this month.
