All this week we're bringing you features looking at recruitment, careers and salary.

2010 Recruitment Special launches today

This week Develop is to publish a range of features looking at key issues and trends in the games industr’s recruitment sector. From salary and quality of life to employment and interviews, we’ve got it covered.

The Recruitment Special kicks off today with a guide to getting that dream job courtesy of Playground Games director Trevor Williams, who offers some well-founded advice on job hunting, applying and making it through the interview.

"Never bad mouth anyone in the video games industry. Ever. Believe me, the industry is far, far too small," says Williams on the subject of answering those more delicate interview questions. "Be clear about why you left, or why you want to leave your last employer. That’s one of the most important questions an interviewer wants a clear and pragmatic answer to.

Check back throughout the week for more features, including the results of the IGDA quality of life survey, the debut of our search for the UK’s brightest games graduate with Aardvark Swift, a look at working in Singapore, and plenty more.
