Manchester-based developer 360 Studios is looking for $2.5 million in investment.
The creator of sports card-battler MMA Federation has already raised $1.5 million towards the development of future mobile games.
It’s now hoping to gather another $1 million during the first quarter of 2016, from investors in the worlds of both mobile and MMA.
Among 360’s founders is Rick Giolito, who formerly worked as executive producer on EA boxing game KnockOut Kings and shooter Medal of Honor.
"We set out to bring a fresh approach not just to the fighting genre, but to sports sims in general," he said about the company’s future plans.
"There is no point just bringing out another fighting game that apes already existing franchises."
Studio director Sean Salloux added: "We’re confident that the model we’re putting in place can be rolled out across multiple different sports and serve as a benchmark for the way sports are simulated on mobile in the future."
