Activision giving away Prototype

Xbox 360 owners who snap up Activision’s Singularity will be entitled to receive a free copy of 2009’s open-world action title Prototype.

It’s out in North America on June 29th, though it doesn’t yet have a firm UK release date. A late June or early July release is expected.

The deal applies only to the Xbox 360 and, as far as we can tell, only applies to US customers. MCV has contacted Activision UK for clarification.

There’s a growing trend for offering free former full-price releases with the purchase of certain new games. Activision previously dished out copies of Guitar Hero Van Halen to buyers of Guitar Hero 5, and THQ earlier this year offered complimentary copies of Red Faction: Guerilla to those who bought Darksiders.
