Assassin’s Creed: Unity’s fourth patch brings fresh problems

Assassin’s Creed firm Ubisoft continues to release patches and updates to fix its latest release, but it’s a slow and frustrating process for consumers.

The latest patch – which focuses on improving the frame rate in Assassin’s Creed Unity and revamping areas of Paris that were causing problems –weighs in at a worrying 6.7GB, according toEurogamer.

Perhaps more concerning is that Xbox One owners may have to download a ridiculous 40GB. Ubisoft says this is an issue with the patch downloading process that is replacing the entire game, not just the aspects that are being patched.

Some users are also reporting increased instances of pop-in post-patch, as well as a reduction of some graphical effects.

Develop has more on the story.
