Atari Q3 revenues down, but losses cut

Net revenues for the third quarter ended December 31st 2007 show that the publisher’s net revenues were down year-on-year to $41.1 million from $47.3m the year before.

While publishing net revenues were also down from $46m to $35.2m, Atari’s distribution network earned the company $5.9m for the quarter, up significantly on the $1.3m posted for the same period one year earlier.

Net revenues for the nine month period ended December 31st 2007 were also revealed, and make for grim reading. Net revenues down year-on-year from $95.3m to $64.8m, while publishing net revenue was $56.2m, versus $78.8m in the prior year’s nine month period. Distribution revenue was also down, standing at $8.6m, versus $16.5m in the comparable year-earlier period.

Net losses for the nine months ended December 31st 2007 were $20 million – a rise on last month’s figure of $8m.
