Date set for new MW3 DLC

Premium Call of Duty Elite users will be able to download the fresh multiplayer map Overwatch on February 21st.

This piece of downloadable content will be available to Xbox 360 owners first, and will arrive on PS3 shortly afterwards. It will be available as a paid-for extra to non-Call of Duty Elite Premium subscribers at a later date.

Overwatch is a multiplayer map set atop a New York skyscraper. It’s the third piece of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 DLC following the game’s November 2011 release.

Previous DLC includes two multiplayer maps which went live on Xbox 360 last month. They will arrive on PS3 on February 28th.

The next three pieces of extra DLC are due in March, again initially only for Premium Xbox 360 players. These include the multiplayer map Black Box and two Special Ops missions – Black Ice and Negotiator.

Call of Duty Elite is an online service which gives players access to a host of in-game and multiplayer extras. Activision charges users 34.99 per year for Premium Membership.
