Creative Assembly and Dontnod Entertainment clean up, Legend winner Stamper launches new game

Develop Awards 2015: The winners revealed

Developers from around the world came to Brighton tonight to honour the winners of this year’s Develop Awards.

More than 170 companies were in attendance, ranging from one-man indie studios to leading publishers and platform holders, as 21 prizes were handing to the triumphant developers.

Creative Assembly were the big winners tonight with three awards going to its sci-fi horror hit Alien: Isolation. The studio itself received two – Use of a Licence or IP and Audio Accomplishment – while the third went to Creative Outsourcer: Audio winner Side for its contributions to the game.

The Development Legend award was given to Tim and Chris Stamper, founders of Rare. Tim Stamper not only accepted the award on behalf of himself and his brother, but also used the awards ceremony to launch his new mobile puzzle game Cat Logic.

Other winners included French studio Dontnod Entertainment, which picked up two gongs for episodic adventure Life is Strange, as well as Team17, Unity Technologies, Rockstar North, Oculus VR, Space Ape Games and Roll7.
